FDNY Crews Hit Fire on Roof of Manhattan Skyscraper

The fire on top of the 44-story luxury apartment building was under control in 40 minutes.

A fire on the roof of a 44-story luxury apartment building sent plumes of dark smoke into the New York City skyline.

FDNY firefighters declared the fire under control in 40 minutes.

There were no injuries reported, ABC7 reported.

The cause is under investigation by the fire marshal's office.
